Engaging Quality: A Foundational Discussion to Elevate the Industry

With access to cannabis a reality for a majority of the public, quality considerations including those related to cannabinoids, terpenoids, water activity, and various measurable safety attributes loom as sticking points for producers, regulators, and consumers alike.  While many 3rd party testing laboratories measure cannabis substance and product quality, variation is readily observed. In this roundtable, we’ll discuss how the understanding and characterization of quality guides the work of respected organizations such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and their marquee Cannabis Quality Assurance Program (CannaQAP) ultimately supporting the international trade of consistent products with standardized therapeutic response.
